Other News:

If you're not currently a member, or would like to renew your membership, we have good news. Starting this month, the Board has voted to make everyone's membership run concurrent with the fiscal year of the organization, which is January 1 to December 31. This will make managing the memberships easier, and make it simpler to remember when your membership ends. And, if you join in November or December, we'll carry your new membership over to 2012, so consider joining now by filing out and sending in our membership form.

Contra dancing is a traditional American style of social dance and is a huge amount of fun (and exercise)! If you’ve ever danced a Virginia Reel, you have a good idea how much fun it can be. If you haven’t, it’s about time you tried it!Beginners are more than welcome, and instruction will be provided in a friendly atmosphere.

Dancing lessons start at 7 p.m. with the band striking up at 7:30. Admission is $8 for non SMTMD members, $6 for members (band members are free). There will be an ice cream social following the dance.
