Summer Jam Sessions Resume

Our Summer Slow Jam Sessions of acoustic, old time and tradtional music resumes at the Old Mill in Bushwood, Md. Musicians and friends are invited to gather around 7 pm on the 2nd Friday and at 4 on the last Sunday of each month.

Contra Dance

We had a great year but are now on a Summer break. Dances resume in September.

Live music is provided by the Southern Maryland Open Band. This band is comprised of talented, local musicians. The band’s repertoire for Contra Dances includes Irish jigs, reels, hornpipes and 18th century waltzes. As it is an “Open” band, musicians interested in playing this type of music are welcome to join in.

Dances are the 2nd Saturday of each month. Starting in September, the dances will be held at the Christ Church Parish Hall in Chaptico, MD. Any changes to the schedule or location will be posted on this site

Practice and Lessons: 7:00
Dance Begins: 7:30

Admission: $8 non-members; $6 members; 12 and under free.
